Pensioner Rights Alliance was established: Four parties joined forces

The government does not keep its promises to retirees despite making promises; Pensioners' survival problems continue, especially due to the lack of progressive raises, the melting of pensions in the face of high inflation, the non-enactment of the adjustment law, the reduction of pensions below the minimum wage and similar problems. In this context, existing retiree parties joined forces to solve the problems of retirees.

'RETIREMENT RIGHTS ALLIANCE' WAS ESTABLISHED

In this context, today the Pensioners Party of Turkey, the Pensioners and Employees Party of Turkey, the Party of Pensioners and Workers of Turkey and the Retired Citizens Party established the "Pensioner Rights Alliance" in order to join forces for retiree rights in the next first election. At the signing ceremony and press release held at the Local and National Party Headquarters in Ankara Çankaya, Turkish Pensioners Party Chairman Oktay Akın and Turkish Pensioners and Laborers Party Chairman Ergün Dursun came together.

'STRONG POLITICAL REPRESENTATION WITH A JOINT LIST AND CANDIDATES'

The goal of the alliance partners stated in the press release is; It was stated that the aim was to eliminate the economic injustices suffered by retirees, widows and orphans. Alliance members also pointed out that they aim to provide strong political representation with joint lists and candidates in the elections in order to gain a decent living wage, fair healthcare and union rights.

ATATURK PRINCIPLES RED LINE

Alliance partners underlined that the most basic red line in the joint political program to be established is Ataturk's Principles and Revolutions, which are the founding values of the Republic of Turkey, and that all work will be carried out in line with this basic vision.

LEGAL GUARANTEE FOR THE LOWEST PENSION SALARY

The partners stated that they aim to ensure that the lowest pension is legally guaranteed so that it does not fall below the net minimum wage. Another goal for retirees was to enact a comprehensive "Adjustment Law" that would eliminate the salary inequality between retirees before and after 2000.

CONTRIBUTION SHARES IN HEALTH WILL BE REMOVED

The partners also stated that they will work to completely abolish the hospital, medicine and examination co-payments collected from retirees. Moreover; Removing legal obstacles to retirees' rights to unionize is among the work the partners will do for retirees.

COOPERATION IN ELECTION AND NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES

The alliance also announced that they will determine a common strategy and act together in the first general and local elections. The parliamentary and mayoral candidate lists will be distributed fairly by the joint commission formed by the 4 parties, based on merit and the regional strengths of the parties. The partners stated that they will carry out election security and ballot box protection activities with the joint planning of the organizations of the 4 parties.
