Businessman Rafael Alexandre Régis is shot dead in Palhoça

Businessman Rafael Alexandre Régis, 36 years old, shot dead on Wednesday afternoon (30), in the Pedra Branca neighborhood, in Palhoça, Greater Florianópolis, was the owner of RR Gestão e Serviços.

The company's main economic activity was the rental of commercial and industrial machinery and equipment. The businessman's wife and daughter were at the scene and witnessed the crime.

Rafael was murdered while approaching his own car. According to the Military Police (PM), two armed men got out of a white vehicle and fired shots.

Security cameras recorded the action. In the images, it is possible to see the two men getting out of the car, while shots are heard. Afterwards, the duo returns to the vehicle and escapes.

According to the PM, the suspects changed cars during the escape. The two vehicles used in the action were located by the police in São José, in Greater Florianópolis. Until the last update of this report, no one had been arrested.

The authorship and motivation for the murder are still unknown. The case is investigated by the Civil Police.

Trajectory

According to a childhood friend, who preferred to remain anonymous, Rafael started working as a car salesman and, little by little, built his professional career as a businessman.

"I always worked for him, I started selling cars as a salesman and little by little I started making a living", he reported.

The friend also described Rafael as a person close to the family and stated that he was a dedicated father and husband.

"He was a very good person, a great father, husband, family," he said.

According to the report, Rafael liked rodeos and was loved by those close to him.

Cars used in the crime were located by police

According to the PM, the shooters were waiting in a vehicle and shot Rafael as he approached his own car. He succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.

After the crime, the suspects fled and changed cars during the journey. The second vehicle was abandoned in the Solemar neighborhood.

The PM carried out searches with the support of a corporation aircraft and located the two cars used in the action in São José, a neighboring city of Palhoça. The case is investigated by the Civil Police.

In a statement, the Scientific Police reported that it was called at around 2 pm. Experts were on site to collect traces and carry out the necessary measurements. The material collected will be analyzed and the final report will be sent to the Civil Police to help solve the crime.
