Enem 2026: Alagoas has almost 93 thousand registered; 73% are exempt from the registration fee

The Ministry of Education (MEC) released the number of candidates registered for the National High School Exam (Enem) 2026 in Alagoas. According to the organization, 92,957 people are able to take the tests, which begin this Sunday (8).

According to the profile released by the MEC, of ​​the almost 93 thousand candidates, 68,265 were exempt from the registration fee, which represents 73.44% of the total. Another 24,692 candidates paid the fee, corresponding to 26.56% of those registered.

Ministry data show that 40,056 candidates are completing high school in 2026. Of this total, 34,069 are public school students. Among the graduates, 35,328 were exempt from the registration fee, while 4,728 paid.

Candidates who have already completed high school and obtained an exemption represent 22,189 applicants. Those who did not attend high school total 458 people.

Race and color

The data released by the MEC also presents a breakdown of race and color declared by candidates registered for Enem 2026 in Alagoas.

Among the 68,265 candidates exempt from the registration fee, 40,858 declared themselves mixed race, 14,967 white, 8,171 black, 1,087 yellow and 819 indigenous. Another 2,373 did not report race or color.

Among the 24,692 candidates who paid the registration fee, 11,642 declared themselves mixed race, 10,439 white, 1,883 black, 297 yellow and 111 indigenous. Another 320 did not declare race or color.
