With the exams approaching, teachers guide students on how to organize the last days of preparation, review the most important content and control anxiety. Recommendations include avoiding trying to learn too many new subjects in the final stretch, resting the day before and managing time during the exam.
Professor Carlos Bidu, from Colégio Master, gives tips on how to prepare for the two Sundays of exams and what to do when faced with difficult questions. Writing teacher Kellen Silva highlights subjects that can serve as a sociocultural repertoire and possible themes for writing.
How to prepare for the final stretch?
In the week before the exam, history teacher Carlos Bidu recommends prioritizing reviewing, taking notes and solving exercises, rather than trying to learn a lot of new content. The guidance is to identify the subjects in which the student has the most difficulty and reinforce studies based on the content most required in Enem.
"This is a time to go back to some notes, observe which contents I have more ease with and which I have more weakness and review based on what I have more strength", recommended the teacher.
For the first Sunday, which brings together the Language, Human Sciences and Writing tests, the teacher highlights some topics that deserve attention:
History of Brazil: world of work, government of Getúlio Vargas, military dictatorship, slavery and consequences for racial relations in the country.
Languages: text interpretation.
Literature: Realism and classic authors, such as Machado de Assis.
Arts: European avant-gardes.
Writing: review of sociocultural repertoires accumulated during the year.
What topics may be included in the Enem 2026 essay?
Writing teacher Kellen explains that Enem usually addresses social problems, especially issues related to groups that face situations of vulnerability or invisibility.
She recalls that, in recent years, themes have involved traditional peoples and communities, women and the appreciation of African heritage. Based on recent debates, Kellen points out some issues that can be studied by candidates:
Childhood and adolescence: challenges to guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents, including child adultization. The issue gained prominence in 2025 after discussions on social media about early exposure of children;
LGBTQIA+ community: homophobia, prejudice and challenges to guaranteeing rights and combating discrimination;
Education of neurodivergent people: difficulties in inclusion and access to quality education for neurodivergent students;
Artificial intelligence: consequences of excessive or indiscriminate use of technology, especially in the job market;
Excessive use of screens: impacts on development and critical thinking capacity.
According to Kellen, a characteristic of the tests is to address problems that do not yet receive due attention from society. The teacher emphasizes that the subjects are possibilities to guide studies, but they do not represent predictions about the topic chosen by the panel.
"Enem likes topics that are in the field of invisibility. This means social problems that should be being discussed, but are not being discussed effectively", he stated.
