Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the highly anticipated October inflation data. According to the announced data, inflation was calculated as 2.58 percent in October and annual inflation was 29.77 percent.

According to the statements of TÜİK, inflation, which was 32.61 percent in May 2026, dropped to 32.11 percent in June, 31.75 percent in July, 31.51 percent in August and 29.73 percent in September, respectively.

With October inflation of 2.58 percent, annual inflation increased from 29.73 percent to 29.77 percent at the end of 4 months.

0.88 PERCENT DECLINE IN 9 MONTHS

In January 2026, annual inflation was 30.65 percent according to TUIK's calculations. According to the data announced in October, inflation did not decrease even by 1 percent in the last 9 months. Inflation decreased by 0.88 percent in the 9-month period.
