Fake Way out west tickets are being sold on social media - the call: report to the police

She is one of many who on various Facebook pages tell about how she tried to buy a ticket via social media, but was cheated. The woman does not want to appear for an interview at the moment.

- There is a lot of shame in this. People find it hard to be cheated. A shame around scams, and we absolutely want to break it, says Filip Hiltmann, press officer at Luger.

Fake tickets for Way out west 2026 - look real

During Friday, the police announced that they had received several reports regarding fake tickets for Way out west. In a press release, it is written that in some cases it concerns tickets that look genuine but are not, and in other cases the victims have simply not received a ticket.

- Right now it's about 30 cases, but it's a number that can grow as well, says Mattias Emilsson at the police.

The call: "Dare to report to the police"

Festival organizer Luger's view is that the problem is much bigger.

- Those 30 at the police probably do not reflect reality, I believe there are certainly more and my appeal is to dare to report to the police, says Filip Hiltmann.
