NEW Party Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir, at the press conference he held in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, reminded that the budget of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism was discussed in the Planning and Budget Commission, and that Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy did not allow an investigation into the ministry bureaucrats in the Kartalkaya disaster, in which 78 people lost their lives.
Emir said, "Not a single Ministry of Tourism bureaucrat has been tried yet, not a single Ministry of Tourism bureaucrat has been dismissed from his duty, and the fire that started in Kartalkaya still continues in our hearts. From here, we send our greetings to the grieving families who are trying to raise their voices in this cold in front of the hotel."
Emir noted the following regarding the arrest of former Family Minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya:
"Reason for arrest: Obtaining confidential information, market fraud and membership in an organization. We have been saying from the beginning that such a big robbery, the robbery of the century, cannot be done without political support, without organizational relations, without establishing a political, bureaucracy and trade network. Finally, the Minister of Justice said three days ago that it was an organization and now Fatma Betül Hanım has been arrested, including organizational crime.
It is positive, late and incomplete. Of course, it should go as far as whoever it leads to, but if their aim was to go as far as they go, phones would have to be seized urgently, HTS records should be seized urgently, digital files of personal computers should be taken, their communication networks should be revealed and their statements should be taken effectively in order to obtain as much material evidence as possible through effective investigations.
