A Russian citizen involved in high treason was detained in Crimea.

The attacker provided Ukrainian intelligence with information about the installations of the Russian Armed Forces and the movements of military equipment.

A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under the article of treason.

MOSCOW, October 2 - RIA Novosti. An agent of Kyiv, who provided Ukrainian intelligence with information about the installations of the Russian Armed Forces and the movements of military equipment, was detained in Crimea, the FSB Central Operations Center reported on Friday.

“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the Dzhankoy district of the Republic of Crimea suppressed the illegal activities of a Russian citizen, born in 1992, involved in high treason,” the message says.

As noted, the attacker, through Telegram, proactively established contact with an SBU employee and, on his instructions, photographed and filmed the work of air defense units, transmitted the coordinates and routes of movement of columns of military equipment, as well as information about the deployment of Russian Armed Forces facilities on the peninsula.

“As a result of the operational search activities carried out, the person involved was detained by officers of the FSB of Russia. Video surveillance equipment, camouflage props and communication means containing correspondence with the curator of the Ukrainian special services were confiscated from him. The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol opened a criminal case against the detainee on the grounds of a crime under Article 275 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of Russia,” - added to the DSP.
