Pamfilova announced the West’s attempts to impose electoral dictatorship

The degrading elites of the West are trying to impose their electoral dictates on a number of states, regardless of their national characteristics, culture and history, said Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia.

The head of the Central Election Commission, speaking at the International Youth Festival, emphasized that now is precisely the time when new trends, including electoral ones, are being formed and developed in the world.

“On the one hand, unfortunately, there is a loss of electoral sovereignty of a number of countries that at one time were literally strangled in the arms of the degrading elites of the West... The tendency is for countries under the dictate of organizations such as the OSCE ODIHR and others, which impose, regardless of the national characteristics, traditions, history, culture of a particular people, an electoral dictate from above on how elections should be held,” she said.

Pamfilova emphasized that behind the beautiful words of the West lies the desire to drive states “further along the electoral channel” with the help of an “electoral cudgel” that is beneficial to them. According to her, the so-called Western elites are trying to gut the whole world to serve their interests.

“Many countries are increasingly awakening to national dignity, national awareness of their uniqueness, their uniqueness, the priority of their national interests, the interests of national security. And many countries have begun to pull back from this electoral dictate,” emphasized the chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission.

She noted that another trend is emerging, when election organizers from different countries begin to interact at a new level, on the principles of the deepest respect for each other, equality, and the ability to respect the traditions and characteristics of each country.
