Festival of the Regions in Florence, opening ceremony with Mattarella

Opening ceremony this morning in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio of the Festival of the Regions, in the presence of the Head of State Sergio Mattarella.

The festival, 'The future has passed from here - The Regions as protagonists of a world in continuous movement', ongoing in Florence until tomorrow, is in its fifth edition: it is promoted by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces and organized in collaboration with the Tuscany Region. The head of state's day in Florence will then continue with a private visit to the complex of the Basilica of Santa Croce, including the Bardi Chapel where the restoration of Giotto's frescoes dedicated to 'Stories from the life of Saint Francis of Assisi' has just been completed.
