Arrest in Rotterdam: Another suspect caught after the attack in Cologne

Almost exactly two years after the explosion in front of a Cologne clothing store, police in Rotterdam have arrested another suspect. He is said to have handed over the explosive device to the main perpetrator, who was arrested in April 2025, and drove him to the crime scene, according to the Cologne police.

The attack on the shop on Ehrenstrasse on September 18, 2024 was one of a series of incidents within the so-called Cologne drug war. The 21-year-old is now in custody in the Netherlands and is expected to be extradited to Germany.
