FIFA opens applications for 6,000 volunteer positions at the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil

This Thursday (3), FIFA began registration for volunteer positions at the women's football World Cup in Brazil, the first in South America, which begins on June 24, 2027. There are six thousand positions in the areas of media, competition management, ceremonies, technology, transport and labor operations. No prior experience is required from interested parties.

Those selected will be distributed across the World Cup host cities (Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo). Volunteers will perform more than 30 roles in official locations, including stadiums, hotels, training centers and airports.

To apply you need:

Be at least 18 years old at the time of registration;

Be a Brazilian citizen or be legally authorized to enter Brazil during the competition;

Be available to commit to a minimum number of volunteer shifts during the tournament operational period in June and July 2027;

Have command of Portuguese or English.

According to Aline Pelegrino, mastery of other languages ​​can be a differentiator in the selection process.

The men's football World Cup in Brazil in 2014 was attended by 13 thousand volunteers.

There are 294 days left until the opening of the Women's World Cup (from June 24 to July 25, 2027). In addition to Brazil - classified as the host country -, the competition will bring together 31 other nations. Led by coach Arthur Elias, the Brazilian team is seeking an unprecedented world title.
