Former QPR midfielder Akos Buzsaky confirms he is safe after being reported missing

Former QPR midfielder Akos Buzsaky has posted a message on social media to confirm he is safe after being reported missing.

On Wednesday, reports emerged from his native Hungary that Buzsaky had been missing for more than a week, and that police were looking for him.

However, Buzsaky posted on Facebook on Friday, external to reassure people that he was OK and thanked them for their concern about his welfare.

In the message, which QPR posted on X,, external former Hungary midfielder Buzsaky said: "Unfortunately, in the last few months, there have been serious changes in my life that have tested me.

"There came a moment when I felt I had to break away from these daily routines."

He went on to say that his mother had contacted the police after a "misunderstanding".

Buzsaky added: "A soon as I learned about the situation, I stopped my retreat and informed the authorities.

"Thank you very much for all the concern and thoughts you have shown me.

"I wish everyone a nice day, and it felt really good to receive so much love!"

The 44-year-old spent five seasons at Loftus Road after joining the London side on loan in 2007.

He also played for Plymouth, Portsmouth, and Barnsley during his time in the UK, scoring a total of 33 goals in 243 appearances.
