Armed fight in the mountainous area in Gaziantep İslahiye: 2 dead, 3 injured

2 people lost their lives and 3 people were injured in an armed fight between two hostile groups who met in the mountainous area to talk in Islahiye district of Gaziantep.

The incident took place in the mountainous area near Tahtaköprü Dam in İslahiye district. Allegedly, two groups with animosity due to the receivables issue met in the mountainous area to talk. During the meeting, an argument broke out among the group members. As the argument escalated, the incident turned into a fight in which weapons were used. In the armed fight, 2 people died at the scene and 3 people were injured.

Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, many gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The 3 injured people were taken to the hospital after the first aid of the medical teams. After the procedures were completed at the scene, the bodies were taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institute for identification and autopsy.

Gendarmerie teams, who took extensive security measures in the region, launched a large-scale investigation into the incident.
