Military Police recover stolen vehicle and arrest suspect in Manaus

The vehicle was located at around 10:30 am on Avenida Padre Anchieta, in a property where, according to the Military Police, the young man lived. He was not at the scene when the police arrived.

His mother handed the vehicle over to the police officer and informed the police the address where her son could be found, in the Sílvio Leite neighborhood, also in the West zone.

At the indicated address, the police approached the young man. He stated that he had purchased the white Onix in Manaus (AM), in 2022, and that he had a purchase and sale document.

The police went to the location indicated by the suspect to look for the document. At the address, another man, a 26-year-old businessman, stated that he had not found the paper. The businessman also said that he and the young man had later sold the car in Boa Vista.

The police officer reported that he had purchased the car through an exchange. During the negotiation, he delivered another vehicle, whose ownership would be transferred after bank payment.

The Military Police reported that the suspect has a history of embezzlement. During the approach, he did not react, but was handcuffed.

The police officer's functional license, which was inside the car, was not found. The PM did not say whether the R$2,000 that was also inside the vehicle was recovered. The suspect stated that he did not know the existence of the wallet and that he did not see it inside the car.
