Historic cars, super sports cars and tribute to Barrichello
In addition to the musical program, Interlagos will have special attractions on the track with cars that marked different eras of motorsport. Historic models from the 1920s to the 1990s, super sports cars equipped with V12, V10 and V8 engines and mini hot rods driven by celebrities are part of the program.
Activities begin on Friday (6), at 11:30 am, with the Historic Car Parade. One of the highlights will be the Willys Mark I, from 1967. Equipped with a four-cylinder Renault engine, the model won the Thousand Miles double that year with the duos Luiz Pereira Bueno and Luiz Fernando Terra Smith; and Bird Clemente and Marivaldo Fernandes.
On Saturday (7), starting at 2:10 pm, the Celebrity Lap will be held, an attraction in which personalities take the wheel of mini hot rods.
On Sunday (8), at 10:20 am, ten super sports cars from manufacturers such as Ferrari, Aston Martin and Audi will participate in The Power of Sound. The vehicles, equipped with V12, V10 and V8 aspirated engines, will parade around the track in a presentation that aims to reproduce the roar of Formula 1 cars from 1990 to 2013.
Shortly afterwards, at 11:30 am, Rubens Barrichello returns to driving at Interlagos. The Brazilian will drive the Williams FW33, the model he used in the 2011 season. The presentation marks the former driver's reunion with the São Paulo racetrack 15 years after his farewell to Formula 1 and the Interlagos tracks.
Barrichello competed in 326 races in the category, won 11 victories and reached the podium 68 times in his 19-year career.
"I'm very happy because this farewell is something I've wanted for a long time. When I left Interlagos in 2011, everything was ready to race in 2012, but that didn't happen. So, as a boy who grew up next to the race track, I had the feeling that I hadn't said goodbye as I would have liked. It's going to be a wonderful reunion with the F1 public, who followed me for 19 years," said Barrichello.
F1 Fanzone Structure
The F1 Fanzone will be set up at the Ayrton Senna Kartódromo and will have a stage measuring 45 meters long and 17 meters high, with 425 square meters of LED panels. The structure was designed by set designer Zé Carratu, known for his work with artists such as Caetano Veloso, Milton Nascimento and Zeca Pagodinho.
The project is inspired by Formula 1 circuits and has an advanced floor to bring musicians, drivers and personalities closer to the public. The Papo de Grid interviews also take place on the stage, with journalists, influencers and names linked to the sport, in addition to the traditional Drivers' Engagement, in which drivers from the current grid participate in interviews and interact with fans.
Among the available experiences are official Formula 1 simulators, such as the Pit Stop Challenge, and Photo Opportunity, a wind jet that simulates the feeling of speed in a racing car. The space will also have a licensed products store.
The track activities can be followed on an LED screen installed on the stage. The organization emphasizes, however, that Fanzone does not have a direct view of the race track and that entering the space does not give access to the stands or the internal areas of the circuit.
The area will also have food options, including snacks, pizzas, different types of sandwiches, soft drinks and Heineken beer. Food and beverage purchases will be made exclusively using the Cashless consumer card. The sale of alcoholic beverages will be restricted to people over 18 years of age, upon presentation of official identification with a photo.
