An accessory worn around the neck is one of the country folk's favorites for composing looks and inspires women around Parque do Peão.

Everyone already knows that boots, hats and buckled belts are practically unanimous items in the country world. But at this year's Festa do Peão de Barretos, chokers, popularly known as 'country ties', are the new favorites of women.

The accessory has become popular with people, with the singer Ana Castela as its main showcase. On and off stage, the cowboy doesn't give up on the piece, using different versions of the accessory to compose her looks.

Among rodeo women, the models are made of suede, satin and leather, which can be worn with just one or several wraps around the neck.

The finish can also vary in terms of earrings and charms, ranging from plain pieces to horseshoe, horse and bull themed pendants, or even stones.

The novelty integrates the expansion of the contemporary western style with the rustic roots of farms and rodeos.

The nickname 'little tie' came about due to the elongated look of the accessory, which goes beyond the neck line and goes down the lap with loose ends, reminiscent of the classic cord tie with a metal clasp typical of North American cowboys.

In the arenas and stands, the accessory gained personalized versions. Resident of Americana (SP), Isabela Gaiola chose to compose hers with a bull pendant, a traditional symbol among the party's audience.

"I love Ana Castela. I go to every show I can and she is a super fashion reference for me", says Isabela.

The trend also won over those who opted for the style for the first time, like visitor Paula Pacheco. "I had never used it, I bought it exclusively to come to Barretão. I bought several, in different colors."

The fever that took over the streets of Parque do Peão was soon reflected in the windows of local stands and stores. Merchants report continuous demand for the pieces throughout the event.

"Every day, all the time, there are women looking at our wall of necklaces and country accessories. They have been looking for a lot of identity, for example, horse pendants, ox pendants, bridle pendants", says trader Maria Eduarda Mendes.

With prices ranging from R$39.90 to R$80, depending on the finish and charms chosen, the piece became one of the edition's best sellers.

"Last year we saw that women wanted it, but we brought a smaller quantity. And now we saw an opportunity and we brought it, it worked really well, everyone is using it", he points out.
