Nearly 10% of strikers in the state civil service. Nearly 10% of state civil service agents were on strike at midday on Tuesday to defend the purchasing power of civil servants and demand more resources, according to figures communicated by the Ministry of Action and Public Accounts. In total, 9.64% of state civil service agents were on strike, 5.68% of those in the territorial civil service and 4.5% of those in the hospital civil service, detailed the ministry.

Teachers mobilized. In an update on the situation at midday, the Ministry of National Education recorded a participation rate of 11.47% among all staff, and 13.71% among teachers.

The mobilization continues and is growing in high schools. The police made 40 arrests on Tuesday during demonstrations and blockades around high schools to demand more resources in education, a movement supported by La France insoumise and which also extends to higher education. According to the Ministry of National Education, 338 establishments were affected by actions or disruptions and “10 injuries reported, students and staff”. On the sidelines of the demonstrations near the Montaigne high school in Bordeaux (Gironde), a firefighter was injured by the explosion of an aerosol, according to the prefecture.
