Historical difference in Croatia-England match: I am ashamed statement from Luka Modric

In the UEFA Nations A League 3rd Group 3rd week match, Croatia and England faced each other at HNK Rijeka Stadium.

The guest team took the lead with Harry Kane's goal in the 8th minute, and scored goals with Jude Bellingham in the 21st, Gordon in the 39th and Bukayo Saka in the 45th, and the first half ended with this score.

Coach Slaven Bilic started the 2nd half with 3 changes. Harry Kane scored his 2nd goal and England's 5th in the 53rd minute. While Saka made the score 6-0 in the 68th minute, Morgan Rogers scored the net in the 87th minute.

England, under the management of Thomas Tuchel, left the match with a 7-goal victory and increased its points to 6. Croatia remained at 3 points.

Luka Modric made the following statements about the 7-0 defeat:

"IT IS THE FIRST TIME I FEEL EMBARRASSED AFTER A MATCH!"

"It is difficult to find an explanation for such a performance without double tackles, fouls, aggression, lack of unity... I have been here for 20 years, but this is the first time I feel ashamed after a match! It can be lost, because they are better now. But it is unacceptable to lose like this and ruin the reputation we have gained over the years. I am very ashamed."

"PLAYING LIKE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE"

We need to be united because we have another tough game ahead of us. We need to show our true identity. We must show that we have anger, pride, desire, desire and unity within us. These should not disappear overnight. Playing like this is unacceptable. Even if we had played against a team from the third league today, we would have lost.

"TODAY WAS WORRYING"

We hope that the fans in Split will be with us, support us and that we can repay them in the best way possible. First of all, we can give it back with the spirit of struggle and by fighting on the field as we always do. Today was worrying.
