Man arrested for alleged fraud in public tender in Altos

Francisco Carlos was arrested in the act on the first day of the objective test, in a public school in Altos. The action took place during an inspection by the Department for the Repression of Organized Criminal Actions (Draco), with the support of the organizing committee, at the test sites.

According to the police, the agents found papers with the suspect with possible answers to the objective test. The investigation also points out that the name registered on the application may have been changed so that he would remain in the same test room as other candidates and, thus, facilitate possible fraud.

The alleged change in identification data also led the Civil Police to investigate the case as a possible crime of ideological falsehood. According to the police, Francisco Carlos already has a record of attempted fraud in public tenders.

This Sunday (30), Draco's coordinator, Laércio Evangelista, informed g1 that the suspect had already undergone a custody hearing. Until now, however, there was no information about the result of the session or whether he was released or remained in prison.

The Altos City Council competition offers 843 vacancies distributed across 77 municipal administration positions. There are opportunities for candidates with elementary, secondary, technical and higher education levels. Salaries range from R$1,621 to R$6,120.83.

Of the total vacancies, 409 are allocated to teachers. The competition also offers opportunities for health professionals, engineers, municipal guards, social workers, administrative agents and other functions.

After Francisco Carlos' arrest, the organizing committee informed that the competition is continuing normally and that the application of the tests this Sunday (30) was not affected. Altos City Hall had not commented until the last update of this report.
