Man arrested for death of volleyball teacher in Rio: ‘Take it! Knead! Let’s go, my pitbull!’, he said to his partner on video

The RJ Civil Police arrested a man identified as one of those involved in the death of volleyball teacher Carlos Eduardo Cerqueira, known as Carlão, aged 52, who was attacked in the center of Rio de Janeiro. According to the investigation, Vanderlei Mathias dos Santos filmed the crime and encouraged the beating of the victim. "Take it! Knead it! Come on, my pitbull!", he urged.

Carlão had left the day before for a samba circle in the Center and was never seen again. The family began looking for him in hospitals and found him unconscious at the Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital, with head trauma and bruises on his body.
