Man dies after head-on collision between car and bus on TO-010

A 53-year-old driver died after colliding head-on with a passenger bus on TO-010, between Palmas and Lajeado. He was identified as Flávio Araújo Martins, according to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP).

The crash occurred on Saturday night (17), at km 5 of the highway. Flávio died at the scene.

Experts were on site to carry out surveys and assist in investigating the circumstances of the accident. The Civil Police's Traffic Crimes Repression Department (DRCT) will investigate the case.

A team from the Palmas Forensic Medicine Center carried out the procedures at the scene and removed the victim's body. After examinations, the body was released for wake and burial.
