Inmet issues low humidity alert for 52 cities in RN; see which ones

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a low air humidity alert for 52 municipalities in Rio Grande do Norte this Monday (2). The warning is of potential danger, the lowest level of severity on the agency's scale, and began at 10 am, expected to end at 9 pm.

According to Inmet, relative air humidity should vary between 20% and 30% in the cities included in the alert. The condition represents a low risk of forest fires and health problems.

The agency recommends that the population drink plenty of fluids, avoid physical exhaustion during the driest hours and not be exposed to the sun during the hottest periods of the day.

If necessary, the population can seek information from the Civil Defense, by calling 199, and the Fire Department, by calling 193.
