Antropic selects Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs as lead underwriters for IPO

Bloomberg News reported on the 3rd (local time), citing anonymous sources, that Antropic, the developer of artificial intelligence (AI) model Claude, has selected Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs as lead underwriters for its initial public offering (IPO).

Sources said that JP Morgan Chase is also included in the lead management group, and that there is a possibility that more banks will join the lead management group in the future.

Previously, Antropic announced on the 1st that it had privately submitted a draft listing application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for an IPO.

Bloomberg reported that Antropic is considering listing as early as October.

Antropic was recognized as having a corporate value of $965 billion (approximately KRW 1460 trillion) by attracting $65 billion worth of new investment last month. This is ahead of Open AI, which was valued at $852 billion in March.

OpenAI is also currently preparing documents such as an investment prospectus to be submitted to the SEC, but it appears that it has not yet been submitted.

Both companies, which aim to be listed within the year, are reportedly competing to dominate the IPO market first.

Elon Musk's space company SpaceX is scheduled to be listed on the US Nasdaq on the 12th.
