Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office carried out an operation against 13 suspects in the corruption investigation against IMM

Within the scope of the 'corruption' investigation carried out against IMM by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Preliminary Investigation Report and expert reports prepared by the Civil Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs included findings that some tenders made by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Procurement Directorate, including the purchase of materials for the IMM Presidential residence, were rigged and public damage was caused.

As part of the investigation, a simultaneous operation was carried out against 13 suspects. During the operation, 12 suspects were detained by the Istanbul Financial Crimes Department. It was determined that one of the suspects, Mahmut Berk Şahin, was abroad. It was learned that Onur Gülin, for whom there was a detention warrant, was in prison.

Within the scope of the investigation, IMM Purchasing Department Head Mustafa Sökmen, City Restaurants Branch Manager Ali Toy, IMM former Financial Affairs Department Head Neslihan Vural, Police Manager Gökhan Fırtına, Purchasing Branch Manager Mehmet Yücetürk, former Purchasing Manager Talha Özyurt, Purchasing Branch Directorate Chief Abdülkerim Destekbaba, Revenue Branch Directorate Deputy Director Saliha Ülkü Aydoğan, Vedat Taşdelen, Mustafa Delipoyraz, Volkan Karagöz and Ekrem Baki were detained.
