Arrest request for 52 suspects in the new generation criminal organization operation in 30 provinces based in Istanbul

The procedures of the suspects caught in the operation carried out by the teams of Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Branch Directorate to prevent the activities of new generation criminal organizations and to capture the suspects have been completed.

Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 52 suspects, including the father of the organization manager Mustafa Aktürk, who were sent to the Istanbul Courthouse and whose prosecutor's statements were completed, were arrested and 3 suspects were referred to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for judicial control.

It was learned that the prosecutor's office will evaluate the referral status of one suspect after the hospital document arrives.

On the other hand, the proceedings at the courthouse for 33 children in judicial process continue.

Teams from the Organized Crime Branch Directorate, with the support of the Intelligence Branch Directorate and the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, carried out work to prevent the activities of new generation criminal organizations and capture the suspects.

During the studies, it was determined that the criminal organization, which was active in the city, throughout the country and internationally, was led by a suspect who was thought to be abroad and had a red notice decision, recruited through social media platforms.

The teams revealed that the suspects found by this method were included in WhatsApp groups and directed to commit criminal acts, and determined the identities and addresses of the suspects who were considered to be preparing for action in these groups.

The teams will be in Istanbul, Şırnak, Kayseri, Ankara, Aydın, Bursa, Gaziantep, İzmir, Hatay, Kocaeli, Mersin, Eskişehir, Kilis, Manisa, Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Adana, Antalya, Balıkesir, Batman, Bingöl, Kahramanmaraş, Kırşehir, Muğla, Muş, Ordu, Samsun, Tekirdağ, Trabzon and Van on October 27. In the simultaneous operation they carried out, they captured a total of 89 suspects, 35 of whom were children in judicial process.

During the searches, 6 pistols and 3 rifles were seized.

The suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were sent to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after undergoing a health check.
