Ivan Moraes promises to reinforce Sassepe teams and pay minimum wages in a meeting with SUS workers

The statement was given to TV Globo during a meeting with representatives of the Association in Defense of SUS Workers in Pernambuco, held at Casa Marielle Franco, in the Derby neighborhood, in the center of Recife, this Wednesday (24).

Asked about how he intends to face the workload of health professionals and improve Sassepe's service if elected, the candidate stated that he intends to rebuild the institution's teams.

"Strengthening health starts by strengthening those who work. I'm going to pay the minimum wage for the categories and hold a competition so that we can recompose the teams so that we don't depend on a private organization to provide public services. And I'm going to strengthen Sassepe. It's not possible for public servants to pay more to have a worse service. It's necessary to take care of those who take care of the population", he said.

During the meeting, Ivan Moraes received four representatives from the Association in Defense of SUS Workers in Pernambuco and signed a letter of commitment with the main demands of the category.

In addition to the agenda at Casa Marielle Franco, Ivan Moraes participated in an act in defense of national sovereignty, democracy and public universities, at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE).
