The "Taipei Encore Stage" launched by the Kuomintang Taipei mayoral candidate Chiang Wanan's camp was caught with a prompt that was suspected of plagiarizing his opponent Shen Boyang's "HEART Policy Island". On the 29th, Ge Rujun, the director general of SI, published a post stating that the work was submitted by a "netizen named J", accusing the outside world of erasing creative freedom. However, a netizen later checked the GitHub records and discovered his email address, which once again triggered heated discussions in the community.

Ge Rujun earlier published a long article on Threads explaining that the entire incident involved three projects: the "AI2033 Taipei AI Park" launched on October 10 was his personal work; the "Encore Stage" was a display platform he led to integrate AI creations by citizens and netizens; and the 2034th "Taipei Administration Island" that caused plagiarism was created by netizens on October 23 and then reviewed and put on the shelves.

Ge Rujun emphasized that a netizen’s work referenced Shen Boyang’s team in the reminder text, but screenshots from outsiders were copied on his head. He criticized those who were interested in trying to confuse the public and create confrontation, and apologized to the creator who was under pressure. In response to yesterday's accusation that Shen Boyang's team "followed up" technology, he changed his mind and argued that using the same tools does not amount to creative inheritance. "The homage style does not constitute plagiarism. If the style of Hexagonal Policy Island is similar to the 1995 board game, it is purely coincidental."

However, this clarification was quickly criticized. Some netizens checked the first commit record and AI co-author field of the project on GitHub, and found Ge Rujun’s own email account, “I have your gmail account, and I also pushed it to an unknown network.
