José Robson is sentenced to 47 years and 15 days for feminicide and attempted murder in Jaboatão dos Guararapes

José Robson da Silva was sentenced to 47 years and 15 days in prison for murdering his ex-partner, nursing technician Priscila Carma Pimentel, aged 32, and for trying to kill her cousin. The victim was stabbed to death in front of her children, on December 9 of last year, in the neighborhood of Cajueiro Seco, in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in Greater Recife.

The sentence was handed down on Tuesday afternoon (29), after a jury session held by the 2nd Jury Court of the District of Jaboatão. According to the records, the 34-year-old man committed the crime six months after the woman ended her relationship with him.

The session that sentenced the defendant was chaired by judge Izabela Miranda Carvalhais de Barros Vieira, who judged the crimes of feminicide against Priscila Pimentel and attempted murder against Voneide Gomes da Silva Santana, who was the victim's cousin and neighbor.

According to the Pernambuco Court of Justice (TJPE), Voneide was at Priscila's house on the night of the crime, and José Robson also tried to stab her.

The jury started around 9am and ended at 3pm. The statements of the three witnesses who spoke in the process were dismissed by the defense.

For the feminicide of his ex-partner, José Robson was sentenced to 43 years, 6 months and 15 days in prison. For the attempted murder of the second victim, the sentence was 3 years and 6 months in prison.

At the time of the crime, the 34-year-old defendant was arrested in the act and was awaiting trial at the Itaquitinga Prison, in Zona da Mata Norte of Pernambuco. Until the last update of this report, the Criminal Executions Court did not inform which prison unit he will be taken to after conviction.

In addition to remaining in prison for 47 years, the TJPE determined that the defendant is incapable of exercising family power in relation to his children. According to relatives, Priscila had six children, five of them with the arrested man. Thus, José Robson was ordered to pay compensation for moral damages in the amount of 10 minimum wages in favor of the family.

According to the TJPE, after the end of the trial session, the criminal's defense filed an appeal against a court decision.

Remember the case

According to Priscila Carla's sister, Paloma Lauriane Pimentel, the nursing technician was constantly threatened by her ex-partner (see video above);

"Before she died, my sister left a pen drive, a dossier with everything: him threatening his daughters, threatening her", the sister told TV Globo, the day after the crime;

One of the messages was an audio sent days before the crime. In it, the man calls the woman a "disgrace" and mocks the complaint she made to the police;

The feminicide took place on the night of December 9, 2025, at the home of the victim's teenage daughter, in the neighborhood of Cajueiro Seco, in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in Greater Recife;

At the time of the murder, two of Priscila Carla's six children, including a pregnant teenager, were at the scene;

After reporting the crime, police officers managed to arrest José Robson near the Forum Desembargador Henrique Capitulino, located on BR-101, in the Prazeres neighborhood, in Jaboatão;

He was arrested in the act and, after a custody hearing on December 10, he was ordered into preventive detention by the courts.
