The president of the Autonomous City of Ceuta, Juan José Vivas, has published a letter in which he requests the participation of "all Spaniards" in the concentrations promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), called for tomorrow, Wednesday at 8:00 p.m., on the occasion of Ceuta Day.
According to Vivas, "what is at stake is the cause of Ceuta, which, ultimately, is the cause of all of Spain, because our territorial integrity is not divisible, it is not separable. And when a part of Spain is attacked in this way, all of Spain is attacked and violated", in reference to the avalanche at the end of July, with more than 72,000 immigrants who entered irregularly from the border with Morocco.
The Ceuta president has taken the opportunity to warn that "those who promoted, organized or consented to the assault on our border must be very clear: We will never abandon."
"Tomorrow is September 2, Ceuta Day. This year will not be like the others. The difficult circumstances that our city is going through make this day an occasion for all Spaniards to feel more united than ever. The initiative to hold rallies tomorrow in all the municipalities of Spain is not marked by political color or ideologies," explains Vivas in his letter, made public on the X network.
It is, he said, "about expressing unity in support of a city that has suffered an attack on its territorial integrity and that, for this reason, is in a high-risk situation, feels threatened and needs the support of all Spaniards."
"The cause is not exclusively Ceuta's, it is the cause of all of Spain, because it is up to all of us to defend our territory," says the popular leader, who thanks the support received and concludes: "Ceuta remains standing and is not willing to give up. Ceuta is not selling itself, Ceuta defends itself. Ceuta is Spain and will continue to be so. United we are much more."

Sources from the PP have indicated that it is not a rally against anyone, that they are not left or right, but in support of national sovereignty and the return to normality in the Spanish territory of Ceuta, and have indicated that the socialists should join these shows of support in all municipalities instead of bowing to the interests of their leader, Pedro Sánchez.
The PP spokesperson, Borja Sémper, in an interview on RNE, stressed that it is a "non-partisan" rally, and therefore has asked the PSOE to reconsider its decision not to attend those Ceuta Day rallies.
Furthermore, Sémper has pointed out that "we are at the moment of return and not of distribution", to indicate that now we must expedite the procedures for the departure of irregular immigrants in Ceuta, and not yet deal with transfers to other autonomous communities, which already have child care services "strained, whose seams are visible."
The PSOE has denounced the "partisan use" by the PP of these demonstrations and has asked not to participate in them. Despite this call, some socialist town councils have chosen not to follow Ferraz's guidelines and have joined the rallies in support of Ceuta due to the migratory crisis it has been suffering for a month. Mérida, León, Espartinas (Seville), Moguer (Huelva), Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz) and Grazalema (Cádiz) are some of the socialist squares in which their councilors have ignored the federal leadership and have called for acts of solidarity with the people of Ceuta.
The Regional Executive Commission of the PSOE of Ceuta has also confirmed that this formation will attend the demonstration called for tomorrow, in a decision that it has conveyed to all its militancy and that, as it has defended, responds to the feelings of the citizens and the members themselves in the face of the situation that the city is going through: "Our place is with our people."
