The ship attacked in the Black Sea was passed through the Bosphorus

A fire broke out in the living quarters, engine room and deck of the Barbados-flagged container ship RMS Team, which was attacked by a Ukrainian Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) off the Black Sea coast on August 21, while sailing from Türkiye's Gemlik Port to Russia's Novorossiysk Port.

While the ship was severely damaged in the attack, holes were formed in the areas close to the waterline. 11 of the 12 crew members on the ship were rescued by the crew of the container ship Lider Perihan, which was in the vicinity, and handed over to the Turkish Coast Guard teams. One crew member was reported missing.

After the attack, RMS Team, accompanied by rescue and support ships, was first taken to Samsun Port. It was then brought to the entrance of the Bosphorus by the Kazım Bey tugboat belonging to the PGE Tug Salvage Maritime company.

The ship, towed by tugboats affiliated with the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, was passed through the Bosphorus. While ship traffic in the Bosphorus was suspended during the passage, the passage of the container ship RMS Team, which is 146.39 meters long and 23 meters wide, was viewed from the air with a drone.
