Karlstadsbo is charged - allegedly assaulted children while they were sleeping

The man is charged at the Värmland district court on suspicion of, among other things, four cases of gross sexual abuse of children and two cases of gross rape of children. According to the indictment, the acts must have been committed during the period 2017–2025, mainly in Värmland.

Oral intercourse when the child was asleep

The man is said to have put a finger in and out of the child's mouth on two occasions while he was sleeping. He also allegedly performed oral sex with the child while he was asleep. At one of the incidents, the child was five years old.

The prosecutor believes that the crimes should be seen as serious with reference to the child's young age, that the child and the man are related and that several of the suspected acts must have taken place in an environment where the child had reason to feel safe.

Charged with documented abuse

The man is also charged with two counts of aggravated child pornography. According to the indictment, he allegedly documented abuse of the child in 38 pictures and videos. He is also said to have possessed 3,118 other files with child pornography material. Some of the material is judged to be particularly rough.

Admitting an assault

The man was arrested in May this year and has since been in custody. He admits to one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, but denies the other seven charges.

The evidence is based, among other things, on interviews with the plaintiff, technical analyzes of a mobile phone and computer as well as images and videos from seized equipment.
