Honored Coach of Russia Eteri Tutberidze highly appreciated the performance of figure skater Alexandra Trusova at the Kinoshita Group Cup tournament in Japan, where she won a silver medal. Sports.ru reports this.

“Well done, what else can you say. Of course, I was worried about her, I wanted her to do her thing, and this was very important for her. I did. She tried not to let go of anything until the last moment,” Tutberidze said.

The mentor added that she told Trusova during the track where she needed to push and push. “Although it was clear that by the end the strength was already leaving. She set herself the task of making sure to show that Sasha, whom everyone was waiting for, has returned, and she cannot go out without quadruples. I'm very happy. This girl deserves all the best,” the specialist noted.

Trusova scored 221.06 points in the sum of two programs. In the free skate, the 22-year-old athlete performed a quadruple Lutz, a triple loop, a triple Salchow, a triple Lutz cascade - a triple toe loop, a sequence of a triple Salchow and two snipes, as well as a double Axel.

This is Trusova's return to the international arena after a break. Quadruple jumps have been a major feature of her programs for many years.
