Seo Kyo-rim and Kim Min-sol, same-age rivals born in 2006, who are competing fiercely for the most wins on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour this season, continued their battle for the lead in the second round of the season's second major tournament, the BC Card/Hankyung 48th KLPGA Championship (total prize money of 1.5 billion won).
Seo Gyo-rim recorded 5 under par 67 with 6 birdies and 1 bogey in the second round of the tournament held at the Pocheon Hills Country Club Garden/Palace Course (par 72) in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do on the 21st.
Seo Gyo-rim, who recorded an intermediate total of 7 under par 137 strokes, jumped from tied 11th in the first round to tied for the lead with Song Eun-ah.
Kim Min-sol also recorded two birdies on this day and recorded a 2-under par 70 strokes, and was ranked sole 3rd, one stroke behind the joint leader with an interim total of 6 under par 136 strokes.
Seo Gyo-rim caught birdies in the 1st hole (par 5) and 6th hole (par 3), and rose to the lead with a third birdie in the 10th hole (par 5), the first hole of the second half.
In the 12th hole (par 4), his tee shot fell into the lake, resulting in a penalty stroke and a bogey, but he made up for it by successfully making a 7.8m birdie putt in the 14th hole (par 3).

After the round, Seo Kyo-rim said, "The putt went well and I was able to catch a lot of birdies. In the remaining rounds, I will actively aim for birdies in par 5 holes where it is easy to create opportunities."
Minsol Kim recorded par in all nine holes in the first half and continued the fight for the lead by making birdies in the 10th and 17th holes in the second half.
He self-evaluated, "My shot sense was more shaken than yesterday, but I blocked it well with my short game in every crisis situation." He then said, "It will be difficult for my shot sense to improve drastically overnight, but I will calmly analyze and refine it."
Regarding the competitive structure with Seo Kyo-rim, he said, "I can't help but be concerned," and added, "But I think it's a good relationship where we exchange positive energy and synergy."
Seo Kyo-rim and Kim Min-sol are competing fiercely this season.
Kim Min-sol first won at the iM Financial Open 2026 last April.
Afterwards, in the four competitions held in June, the championships were shared in the order of Seo Gyo-rim, Kim Min-sol, Seo Gyo-rim, and Kim Min-sol, showing a competitive pattern rarely seen in recent times.
