The League Commission is investigating the case of contact between coach Adrian Siemieniec and the referee

On September 1, the League Committee received materials regarding this case from the PZPN Disciplinary Committee for consideration. It is worth noting that the case does not involve corruption or any allegations of result manipulation. It will be investigated for any violations of the regulations regarding permitted contacts between referees and coaches. During the proceedings, the League Commission will ask interested persons for explanations and will conduct the proceedings. After reviewing the explanations, it will decide on further steps in this matter, Poturnicki, who heads the work of the League Commission, told PAP.

As Adrian Siemieniec wrote to the judge

According to Wirtualna Polska journalists, on the day of the penultimate round match in Katowice against GKS (2:2), led by Paweł Raczkowski, he wrote to referee Arkadiusz Kamil Wójcik, who was then in Japan - working as an assistant or technical officer - a message regarding possible yellow cards for his players, who were at risk of a forced break in the last match of the season.

Similar contacts are prohibited by the provisions of the Polish Football Association, and when they occur, the referees are to report it to the Polish Football Association, which Raczkowski did immediately after the match, and "referred as usual." None of the players at risk of missing the next match saw a yellow card.

The Wójcik case

The background of the case is Wójcik's last year's candidacy for the position of head of the PZPN Referees' College, to which Marcin Szulc was elected by the federation authorities. Later, Wójcik accused the new management of the College of Judges of defamation and mobbing, and on July 9, he submitted a report to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw on the suspicion of committing a crime regarding, among others, criminal threats.

The WP material stated that Wójcik had previously been persuaded by the Polish Football Association not to submit this notification, among others. by president Cezary Kulesza, but the federation denies that such a situation occurred. However, during the next meeting - according to Wójcik's account - the matter of his correspondence with coach Siemieniec was discussed.

Raczkowski has already coached five Premier League matches this season, which started on July 24.
