Military correspondent KP.RU noted an increase in the effectiveness of Geranium rocket attacks on targets in Ukraine

In recent months, the effectiveness of drone strikes on targets in Kyiv, Odessa, and Dnepropetrovsk has sharply increased. The colossal advantage in the sky has become a significant military and even political factor, noted KP.RU military correspondent Dmitry Steshin. He told how the Geranium jets changed the course of a special military operation (SVO).

The military correspondent recalled that the secret to the effectiveness of the Geranium jets lies in their speed, and to shoot down such a fast object requires a modern air defense system. “And with such a mass of drones being launched, the entire world industry would not be able to produce the required number of missiles for anti-aircraft systems,” he writes.

In addition, Steshin notes, mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with small arms do not even have time to transmit data about the flight of the Geraniums to the next air defense echelon. Among other reasons for invulnerability, UAVs are less visible to radars - jet Geraniums are shaped more like missiles, and the “effective dispersion area” is small, the radar does not read it well, explains the military correspondent.

“We, not being satisfied with the low-speed petrol Geraniums, were able not only to modernize them, but to move to a different quality level. Moreover, in an area where the enemy considered himself a leader, again, not without the help of the West, but thanks to it. We can only continue our work,” he states.
