[Reporter Chen Yongji/Report from Taipei] New drug R&D company Gongxin-KY (6617) held a regular shareholder meeting today (11th), which was chaired by director and general manager Lin Maoyuan. Lin Maoyuan said that although the company's new lung cancer drug Procean® (PTS302) is in the early stages of commercialization in the Chinese market and has not fully released economies of scale, operations have reached a turning point after optimizing marketing strategies and adapting to the highest PIC/s GMP specifications.

Lin Maoyuan emphasized that the core competitiveness of Gongxin-KY lies in the independently developed and globally original "Minimally Invasive Targeted Tumor Chemical Ablation Treatment Platform (MITTA)". This platform is combined with the independently developed PTS series of small molecule chemical anti-cancer drugs to directly induce necrosis of cancer cells through intratumoral injection (IDA) without damaging surrounding normal tissues. This technology effectively fills the treatment gap of traditional surgery, cryotherapy or radiofrequency cauterization. It is more highly adaptable to irregular-shaped tumors and achieves local ablation treatment with high efficiency and low side effects.

Looking forward to the future, Lin Maoyuan said that the company will expand Proxian's sales channels in the Chinese market. Currently, more than 310 (including tertiary-level) hospitals have introduced and used it, and it has more than 2,000 prescription treatment experiences, and the penetration continues to increase. In optimizing China's marketing strategy and obtaining the status of commercially insured varieties, the company has accelerated the completion of drug admission procedures and procurement, and it is expected that the overall operational results will begin to ferment in the second half of this year.

In addition, it has launched a global commercialization layout. With the Chinese drug certificate it has obtained, the company is adopting a "double-track development in Southeast Asia and Africa" ​​strategy, negotiating with overseas local agents to shorten the review time with simplified review qualifications. It has been successfully authorized to Morocco, Algeria, Malaysia and Singapore. The submission of marketing authorization (NDA) for Morocco and Algeria has recently been completed, and NDA applications are expected to be submitted to Malaysia in the third quarter and Singapore in the fourth quarter.

Lin Maoyuan pointed out that this year will be a critical year for Gongxin-KY’s business transformation. With new lung cancer drugs accelerating in China and overseas, the countdown to certification for the new pet drug "Sepica", and two major cancer indications entering the critical clinical stage, the company is optimistic about the overall operating outlook for this year as strategic benefits are gradually revealed.
