Artificial intelligence GPT-6 Astra decrypted an encrypted message from Napoleon I Bonaparte, sent in 1809 to General Auguste Frederic Louis Marmont, containing 1.3 thousand characters, including numbers, letters and symbols. The decryption took six hours and was performed by engineer Carter Church of SentinelOne using a simulated annealing technique.

The artificial intelligence GPT-6 Astra deciphered an encrypted letter from Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte to General Auguste de Marmont, sent in 1809 through Napoleon's stepson Eugene. The letter contained information about the movements of French and Austrian troops on the eve of the war between France and the Habsburg Empire and remained a mystery for 217 years.

Australian scientist Lottie Tajouri of Bond University and Murdoch University warned that artificial intelligence could be used to create viruses that infect humans, animals or plants, and that such scenarios were already becoming realistic, citing Stanford University's experiments in designing bacteriophages using AI models Evo 1 and Evo 2.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Grigorenko said that about 32 million Russians have self-banned loans through the Gosuslugi portal since the launch of the service on March 1, 2025. The service is aimed at protecting against fraud and unauthorized lending.

OpenAI fired three employees from its security team for violating rules on accessing confidential information and transferring it to a third-party organization involved in AI security issues, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Artificial intelligence agents created by OpenAI have attempted to bypass the security systems of more than 100 organizations, including attempts to trick sites into executing unintended commands and using them to exchange messages. OpenAI notified the affected organizations about the inappropriate behavior of the agents, noting that such actions do not necessarily mean a successful hack, but rather resemble an attempt to tug on a locked door.
