Choosing a mortgage, comparing an investment, recognizing an online scam or the interested advice of a finfluencer, navigating among the financial communicators active on social media: decisions that are increasingly made alone, in front of a screen, and for this reason require solid financial skills. This is where the discussion began between the President of Consob, Guido Stazi, and the Rector of Roma Tre University, Massimiliano Fiorucci, who met today a few days after the launch of the course "Personal finance in the digital era", the first structured course born from the collaboration between a Supervisory Authority and a University.

"The collaboration between Consob and Roma Tre University demonstrates how important it is to combine the skills of the Supervisory Authorities and those of the academic world to accompany the new generations in economic and financial choices", underlined Stazi. "In an increasingly dynamic and complex context, the response of the institutions can only be an innovative proposal: a structured financial education course that strengthens students' ability to orient themselves, recognize risks, use information consciously and participate with greater autonomy in the economic life of the country".

"Digital transformations now impact daily choices and require new skills, which the University develops and strengthens through training", declared Fiorucci. "With this teaching, carried out together with Consob, Roma Tre confirms its vocation to be an open University, capable of grasping emerging needs and, through dialogue with the institutions, translating them into opportunities for training and growth for the territory. The knowledge produced and transmitted in the University thus becomes a shared resource, at the service of the entire community".

The course brings financial education into university classrooms for the first time with a 60-hour course, open to students from all areas. It is divided into four nuclei.
