The influencer Clavicular indicted in Massachusetts for rape and administration of substances

The influencer known as Clavicular has been indicted in Massachusetts on charges of rape, administering drugs for sexual purposes and providing alcohol to an underage girl. The stage name recalls the collarbone, one of the parts of the body on which the influencer measures his ideal of male perfection.

The accusations and the disputed episode

According to the reconstructions of the investigators, Braden Peters, 20 years old, an emerging and controversial figure of the looksmaxxing phenomenon (the online subculture that especially pushes boys and young people to "maximize" their physical appearance), gave alcohol to a very young influencer during a live streaming on social media and then had sexual intercourse with her when she was no longer able to express her consent. The episode dates back to May 2025 and took place in Clavicular's family home in Chatham, where the young man's mother and grandmother were also present. Peters' lawyer has denied the charges ahead of a hearing set for October 14.

Looksmaxxing is based on the idea that beauty and success can be pursued in an almost scientific way, intervening on every detail of the face and body. In the most common forms it means training, diet, skin and hair care; in the most extreme cases it can include cosmetic surgery and potentially dangerous practices.

Peters' social rise

Clavicular has transformed this aesthetic into a permanent story, documenting his physical evolution on social media and obsessively discussing jawlines, cheekbones, shoulder proportions and facial symmetry. In just a few months he went from men's forums to pop culture, amassing hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok and Kick and landing a show at New York Fashion Week and later in Paris.
