A victory in the first away match of the Italian champions. Inter wins in Cagliari and responds to Milan and Juventus to stay ahead of everyone with full points, together with Lazio who beat Genoa at the same time. Not four goals like against Monza, but just one: a very poor result, even if the statistics say thirty-one shots - with a lot of errors in front of goal that Chivu will have to reflect on.

Also because Cagliari, non-existent in the first half, also risked scoring a mockery in the second half. Defeat is historically nothing new for a Cagliari team that has lost all of its last six home games against Inter: the only real news is that Lautaro Martínez, who has scored 12 goals in 12 previous matches against Cagliari, did not score. It's an Inter that moves according to proven patterns and rhythms, the defense and Martinez are practically invisible because in the Nerazzurri half of the pitch they play an unequal Mendy against everyone.
