More than 3,000 households in Luzhu and Dayuan in Taoyuan will have their water supply cut off for 15 hours on September 3 to cooperate with the relocation of pipelines in the aviation city.

The District 2 Management Office of the Taiwan Water Supply Company was originally scheduled to handle the pipe disconnection and water outage operation of the "Zhongzheng East Road in the Grand Park to cooperate with the D1 sub-standard pipeline relocation project in the Airport City" on August 26. However, it has been postponed to September 3 for some reasons. At that time, a total of 6 miles including Luzhu District and the Grand Park will be without water for 15 hours, affecting more than 3,000 households. Households in the affected areas are reminded to store water for backup in advance, and be sure to turn off the power of water pumps during the water outage to maintain electricity and water safety.

The water outage areas include Zhongyou Street in Luzhu District, Sanshili, Wuquanli, Puxin, Dahaili and Guolinli in Dayuan District. The water outage will last for 15 hours from 9:00 to 24:00 on September 3.

The Economic Development Bureau of Taoyuan City Government stated that the District 2 Management Office of the Taiwan Water Company is constructing drainage box culverts and manifolds at a section of Zhongzheng East Road in Dayuan District in order to cooperate with the D1 sub-tendering project of Taoyuan Aviation City. Since the construction scope conflicts with the existing 500mm PSCP water pipeline, pipeline relocation and pipe break connection operations are required. During the construction period, the Economic Development Bureau will continue to urge the water company to complete the restoration of water as soon as possible to reduce the inconvenience of water use for the public.
