The judge urges to have operators on the cranes uninterruptedly and to work all day

The investigating judge of the Urda railway accident (Toledo) urgently requires the crane company hired by Adif Renfe to provide the necessary operators, establishing the necessary shifts to continue uninterruptedly with the search work in the area of ​​the accident.

As reported by the Superior Court of Justice of Castilla-La Mancha in a statement, this judicial request was agreed and notified on Saturday with the aim of continuing uninterruptedly with the work of removing the wagons in the accident area during last night, from October 31 to November 1, although it has not been possible due to the lack of sufficient operators from the crane company. On the morning of this Sunday, November 1, work resumed.

The decision of the investigating judge is due to the “urgent need” to locate all the possible remains that could still be found in the place where the damaged trains are located, the area of ​​which continues to be inspected in the search work. All of this with the ultimate objective of delivering it as quickly as possible to the relatives of the deceased, he specified.

Aside from this decision, the investigating judge has issued an order agreeing to prohibit the obtaining, dissemination or publication of information or images related to the victims of the railway accident or their families, all with the maximum purpose of preserving their privacy, integrity and dignity and avoiding situations of re-victimization. The judicial procedure continues under summary secrecy.
