Pope Leo XIV talks about his trip to France and the young people he met

Questioned by journalists on his return flight to Rome, Pope Leo XIV began by discussing the four days he had just spent in France, successively in Paris, Lourdes and Metz. Among the many “strong moments and without excluding the others”, he was impressed by the masterful evening at the Stade de France with 80,000 young people: “They are clearly looking for something”, he admitted, saying he was “very blessed to have had the privilege of visiting France in order to particularly encourage young people”. The Pope said he was also marked “by their enthusiasm, their joy and this feeling of hope which they offered and which they also received and which they will be able to share with others”. This is one of the “many signs” he noticed during this journey.
