The leader of the Liberals, Simona Mohamsson, shows a list of V politicians whom she considers to have spread anti-Semitism

Liberal party leader Simona Mohamsson brought a list to the party leader debate on TV4. On that list are names of V politicians whom she considers to have spread anti-Semitism.

- I think the Swedish people need to see this list and ask themselves: Is this the party you want to give a really big influence over the government on Monday?, says Simona Mohamsson.

"Never said anything anti-Semitic"

This causes Member of Parliament Ilona Szatmari Waldau (V) to react:

"The list is topped by me, who never thought an anti-Semitic thought or said anything anti-Semitic ever, but on the contrary spoke both in the Riksdag and at demonstrations about the importance of criticizing Israel without expressing oneself anti-Semitic," she writes on Instagram.

Ilona Szatmari Waldau further writes that she has Jewish origins and wonders if she can report Mohamsson for defamation.

"A mistake"

Ilona Szatmari Waldau has previously written an open letter to a Palestinian prisoner, convicted of having ordered terrorist bombings with several casualties in Israel.

In an SMS to SVT, Ilona Szatmari Waldau writes:

"It is unfortunate that Simona Mohamsson is now using the vulnerability of Jews as a political bat. Both I and the party have admitted that the letter I sent was a mistake. The important thing is to fight anti-Semitism and the vulnerability of Swedish Jews, not that we stick incorrect labels on each other."
