Lucio Corsi, lyrics and meaning of the single Napoleone Buonanotte which comes out today

Napoleone Buonanotte is the single that inaugurates Lucio Corsi's new artistic journey. Presented as a surprise preview on the occasion of Prove Aperte, a special live event, the song anticipates Lucio Corsi - Palasport 2026 which marks the debut of the Tuscan artist in Italian arenas with stops in Florence, Rome and Milan.

Written and produced by Lucio Corsi and Tommaso Ottomano, Napoleone Buonanotte tells the story of a protagonist who is intolerant of everyday life, who tries to escape his commitments, until he meets a girl capable of interrupting his apathy and opening the doors to a new world for him. With an ironic and surreal writing, images of everyday life and paradoxical situations alternate with artistic and cultural references, giving life to a light story only in appearance, capable of transforming a personal story into a small contemporary fairy tale, suspended between melancholy, humor and nostalgia.

In the video clip, produced by Borotalco.tv and directed by Tommaso Ottomano, Lucio Corsi is lying on the sofa while watching on television the transformation of Tommaso Ottomano into Topo Nero Rock: a gesture that celebrates the friendship and artistic bond between the two singer-songwriters.

NAPOLEON GOOD NIGHT, THE TEXT

In the morning I wake up late It's my way of shortening the days I only call the doctor if I forget dreams Even the sink has a cold “Ecciù” I won't wash my hands The only thing I have to do today It's putting it off until tomorrow All the commitments I have

I found a girl And I threw away the TV He took me all the way to France Sleeping inside the Louvre Together with the poor lady Mona Lisa When she's alone he doesn't smile anymore

In the morning I barely hear the roosters I get out of bed and say to the sun “get in!” The first thing I have to do today It's washing my hands well No I'm not going back to town To defend the fields from the crows For a while Things are going well Before he kissed me I was a zombie Memories with her They will be the most beautiful I will have

I found a girl Obsessed with Rock n Roll I hold her in my arms Maybe I'll fall in love Tomorrow I'll buy a painter's hat Or by Napoleon I don't know

The morning and I are not suitable There has never been love between us I will understand it over the years Just like minestrone I felt like going back to the village Crushing pine nuts with stones It's been a while That I don't pick cherries And that I don't fall asleep under the chestnut trees Inside those woods How many memories I have

I left the girl And I bought the TV back I went back down to the countryside Where the world is green and blue The screen slowly rolls over the credits The story ends here Mon amour
