5-year-old Gülce Dora Turhan, who died as a result of the collapse of the first 3 floors of the 7-storey Kardeşler Apartment in the Maltepe district of Istanbul on October 8, was buried with a funeral ceremony.

In the incident that took place in Cevizli District Doğu Street, Gülce Dora Turhan, along with her father Furkan Turhan, mother Sevgi Turhan and older brother Harun Bora Turhan, were rescued from the wreckage with injuries.

5-year-old Gülce Dora, who was taken to the hospital, died despite all the doctors' interventions.

HE WAS SENT OFF ON HIS LAST JOURNEY AFTER 11 DAYS

The body of Gülce Dora Turhan, who could not be buried for 11 days due to her mother Sevgi Turhan's treatment in intensive care, was taken from the hospital and brought to Mimar Sinan Mosque by her relatives.

Deputy Governor of Istanbul Cengiz Karabulut, Maltepe District Governor Mehmet Akçay and relatives and friends of the Turhan family attended the funeral ceremony held after the noon prayer.

Father Furkan Turhan accepted condolences in the mosque courtyard.

HIS MOTHER WAS BROUGHT TO THE FUNERAL BY AMBULANCE

Mother Sevgi Turhan, whose treatment continues in the hospital, was brought to the mosque by ambulance to attend her daughter's funeral.

The mother, who was taken to her daughter's coffin on a stretcher, hugged the coffin and shed tears.

The funeral prayer for Gülce Dora Turhan was performed by Maltepe Mufti Hasan Küçük.
