Tenant horror in Maltepe: Landlord couple lost their lives

The incident took place around 13.10 in Gülsuyu District.

Allegedly, the tenant Mehmet T. opened fire with a gun on the landlord couple, whom he had an argument with.

While the homeowner Osman Akyol (61) and his wife Nursen Akyol lost their lives in the attack, lawyer Emir Ali S., who was at the scene, was seriously injured.

Upon the notice of the surrounding people, police, special operations and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. It was learned that suspect Mehmet T., who resisted the teams, fired a gun from the building.

The suspect was caught by special operations police.
