Man convicted of possession of child pornography and surreptitious filming

The police investigation was launched following reports that a file containing child pornography had been shared. Through an IP address, the police were able to link the activity to the man.

Police found 5,998 files

A total of 5,998 files with child pornography were found on the man's computer. Of these, 1,146 images and 720 films were judged to contain particularly reckless abuse of children.

The material included, among other things, gross sexual abuse of infants. The total running time of the films in the most serious category was 42 hours.

Secretly filmed in a tent

During the review of the computer, the police also found videos of naked children. According to the investigation, the man, who was previously active as a youth leader in an association, had surreptitiously filmed children when they were changing tents during camp activities. The police's investigation shows that the material was produced more than ten years ago.

The man must also pay SEK 1,000 to the Crime Victims Fund.
