Upon notice, many medical and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

The injured were taken to hospital by ambulance and received treatment.

Within the scope of the investigation launched after the accident, the tour bus driver Mehmet Ahular, substitute driver Metin Y. (62) and truck driver Hasan Karakaya were detained.

Among the three people who were referred to Akhisar Courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie, bus driver Mehmet Ahular and truck driver Hasan Karakaya were arrested by the court.

The substitute driver of the bus, Metin Y., was released on condition of judicial control.

It was learned that Metin Y. was driving the bus from Bursa to Balıkesir's Susurluk district, and Mehmet Ahular, who was arrested in Susurluk, was behind the wheel.
